Corporate action on climate change needs to prioritise abatement.
However, it’s almost inevitable that there will be emissions that cannot be abated. Offsetting is an appropriate action to reduce corporate impact on the environment.
Without offsetting, it is very difficult to achieve the various global targets for emissions reduction.
